BA Oxon 1922. Rhodes Scholar for Qld 1918. Admitted as barrister SCQ 18 Mar 1931. Qld MLA (Communist) 15 Apr 1944 to 29 Apr 1950. The only declared Communist elected to an Australian legislature. AIF.
