WELCOME to the website of HISTORICAL DATA ON AUSTRALIAN ELITES, a free source of structured data on elite groups in Australian society from 1788 to 1900. The website will be a work in progress for many years, with sets of data in multiple formats planned to be added several times a year.

The aim of HDAE is to identify elite groups, list their individual members, and provide key biographical data about those individuals, to enable systematic study of those individuals, the elite groups and elites in Australia in general.
